Maral is a producer and editor from Iran. She wrote and edited Manimal Kingdom, a Field of Vision docu-series featured in Gotham's Spotlight on Documentaries. She was the writer and editor of two docu-series for Al Jazeera: the Webby winning Eat This with Yara, and Pop Americana. Maral was recently the Story Editor on San Damiano, which premiered at the 2024 Rome Film Festival, and prior to that she was the Casting Director for Pigeon on a Branch, which won the Venice Golden Lion. She is the editor of Sekiya Dorsett's I Love Bed-Stuy, a feature documentary premiering in 2026 and Associate Editor of American Union, directed by artist Brett Wallace and premiering in 2026. Maral's branded editing work includes documentary portraits of Steve Buscemi, Michael J. Fox, and Ringo Starr for AARP Studios.
